Venture Capital Organization Educates Entrepreneurs in the Art of Raising Money from Investors

VentureCapital.Org and the Wayne Brown Institute presents a free seminar entitled ‘How to Raise Money’ in Provo, Utah - September 13. The two hour event deals with the tough issues of raising money in Utah, and features venture professionals in an open Q&A session. Presenters include an investor and serial entrepreneur. This month's seminar will discuss current trends, the basics of the fundraising process, finding the right investor, and how to raise capital from the perspective of a seasoned entrepreneur and an investor.

Specifically, the seminar will introduce and educate on:

* The importance of business plans in raising money

* What sources of capital are right for you

* Understanding the five F’s, Angels and Venture Capitalists

* Assessing your entrepreneurial readiness

* Basic business structure

* What makes a deal attractive to an investor

* Raising money legally

In the conclusion of the seminar, the presenters will answer questions from the audience. Information will be given on a free internet tool that can help business grow and add credibility to the company.

Presenters include: Adam Slovik, early employee of Oracle, founder of Ten Fold, active angel investor. Benjamin Johnson, Division of Securities, Brad Bertoch member of Salt Lake City Angels, Park City Angels and founder of WBI Angels, and Tom Morgan Regional President, Zions Bank.
