Forum - Who Should Apply?
If you’re looking for your first or additional
round(s) of angel capital, the Deal Forum is for
you.
Your firm can be a startup or an ongoing concern
but cannot have received any institutional (venture
capital) investment. To be eligible for the WBI
Deal Forum, a successful applicant should have
at least the beginnings of a strong management
team, a sustainable competitive advantage (i.e.,
proprietary technology) and a credible expectation
of doing $50-$100 million USD a year in sales
in 3-7 years.
IT (Information Technology) companies should
be relatively quick to cash flow, Life Science
companies should have solid intellectual property
and if possible some data (even if anecdotal)
of efficacy.
Applications are screened by venture investors
and industry experts.
